A policeman’s badge says he’ll serve and protect,
But they killed George Floyd by kneeling on his neck.
The people of DC said “Enough is enough,”
They all took to the streets and the cops got really rough.

On Swann Street there were choppers, billy clubs and pepper spray
But a door was flung wide open by Rahul Dubey

Rahul Dubey, the hero on Swann
He let them stay through curfew till the dawn
They stayed all night and he refused to let them pay,
He said “Keep up the good fight,” that Rahul Dubey

All the people got inside and they tried to catch their breath,
Cause those violent pigs out there had tried to beat them half to death
The cops said “come on out,” but Rahul said “Stay on in,
If we all stay united then I know we’re gonna win.”

The pigs outside were ready to get violent and depraved
But thanks to Rahul, Jenny and the rest were saved.

Inside they were safe for now, but couldn’t go home free,
Cause outside were those fascist thugs they call the MPD
The people they were starving, bout to drop right off their feet,
But Rahul called in a favor from Duccini’s on U street.

The pigs held up the pizza on some flimsy ass pretense
But the driver yeah, he got it to them over the back fence.

At 6 AM they saw the rays of the rising sun,
And the people hiding out in there they knew that they had won
They'd only won the battle, there was still a war to fight,
So they called out to the cops, "We'll see you all again tonight!"

So if you ever find a victim of the police state’s war,
All it takes to be a hero is to open up the door.
